Muerte en el Nilo

The adaptation of the famous novel by Agatha Christie returns to the big screen

If you are a fan of mystery novels with an air of sophistication in the old Hollywood style, you cannot miss the readaptation of this novel that, 44 years later, returns to theaters to the delight of the author's fans.

Mystery fans are in luck for the recent release of the film "Muerte en el Nilo” in theaters directed by and starring Kenneth Branagh.

The film is based on the homonymous novel by Agatha Christie. The film is a mystery thriller that deals with the emotional chaos and lethal consequences caused by obsessive love.

Belgian detective Hercule Poirot is on vacation aboard a glamorous steamboat sailing down the Nile River in Egypt when a murder is discovered. From that moment on, Poirot will dedicate himself to the task of discovering the murderer among the rest of the passengers on the cruise, because more than one has reasons to commit the crime. Who will be the killer? Does he act alone?

To answer these and other questions you will have to go to the cinema and discover them for yourself. The film is in the best cinemas in Spain from February 11.

The cast is posh, Gal Gadot, Kenneth Branagh, Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Rose Leslie, Emma Mackey, Letitia, Wright,… among others.

If you are still not completely convinced (incredible as it may seem...) take a look at this review from the film written by J. Eguren.

It is the second time that Kenneth Branagh, director and protagonist of the work, puts himself in the shoes of Hercule Poirot. We had previously seen him bring this character to life in “Murder on the Orient Express, a film that he also directed and with which he received great reviews, including several film experts affirmed that "Agatha Christie would be proud” if I could see the work that the Briton was doing with his literary work and with his characters.

Agatha Christie has been one of the most important writers in history and recognized worldwide for being the queen of suspense. Throughout her career, she wrote more than 200 works, including novels, plays, poems, short stories, and two autobiographical books.

Regarding the genre that gave him world fame, the suspense or police novel, he published more than 60 titles, of which approximately half are carried out by Hercule Poirot, a Belgian detective who is possibly the best investigator in the world.

The film that we are recommending this time is based on the novel “Muerte en el Nilo“, written and published by A. Christie in 1937 and it is not the first time that we see it on the big screen. Its first film adaptation was in 1978 under the direction of director John Guillermin.
